So many cars these days come with a standard type tint on the back windows and some in the front. But aftermarket tinting is still one of the most popular things to do to your car. With aftermarket tinting you get to choose the location and shade and color of your tint. Tinting also adds a personal style too your vehicle. With any shade or color of tint you also afford a certain amount of privacy and security sometimes being able to defer theives and or leave valuables in your car. If noone can see inside it usually will protect your car more then hurt it. Tinting also helps prevent UV rays from entering the car. Those UV rays are the leading cause for skin cancer. Tint also prevents sun damage in your car and will keep your upholstrey color longer.  Tinting will keep your car cooler during the summer and warmer in the winter. Window tint can also be used to reduce glare for older drivers.

There are five different kinds of tint. Dyed, Carbon, Hybrid, Metalized, Ceramic

Dyed- Dyed window tinting is several layers of dyed film that will use the suns heat and absorb overtime onto your windshield. Dyed tinting is the most affordable around the market and you can choose your own shade. The downside is low protection from UV rays and heat from sun. Downside, dyed tint will fade over time.
Carbon- Carbon window tints are small carbon fiber peices that will not fade over time. Due to the powerful insulating products, carbon can block UV rays and reduce heat usually by more then 30-40%. Ceramic tinting has a non shiny finish or matte finish. It can be more money but over time it will pay off.
Hybrid- Hybrid window tints have dyes and metal peices. Usually come with  one metal layer in between several other. Little more affordable compared to metal but more then dye. It will come with less frequency and it does not look like a mirror reflection.
Metalized- Its in the name. uses metal to reflect sunlight. Using metal, reflects the sun way more then dyed tint. Metal is stronger and wont get scratched. Also higher shatter proof from hard impacts. Comes with a very shiny look. Just like being inside a steel/metal building and your phones service doesnt quite work even if its showing service. Thats due to the metal blocking signals. Same exact concept here. Metal in the windshield can block signals from GPS or radio. It can be on the high or low side of money. Depends on project size
Ceramic- Ceramic is the only tint that blocks more UV rays then all tints even carbon which is second place. It has been known to block up to 99 percent of UV rays. With zero interference wiht radio signals. The particles used in any ceramic project do no conduct heat and has more insulation. Therefor its better for your car by reducing temperatures by half. It also has reducing glare without being dark black. Just like metal tints ceramic tints are quite shatter proof. But it is the most expensive.
